What about other associations? Currently, One Nation, WSL and ISA also plan to stick to the current 1.20 BPF or 220 lb compression rackets. IMPORTANT NOTE: In the end, it depends on what the manufacturers decide. Since 240-pound bats still meet the standards of other association stamps (NSA, ISA), manufacturers may decide to manufacture only 240-pound bats. Only time will tell at this point what they think is feasible. We`re sure it`s a huge headache, but they might find some comfort in knowing they`re in good company for what it`s worth. They don`t make crappy bats illegal. (See our review of DSB Made USA bats. It`s completely legal). And we should note that some of the KAMO are still allowed. The USSSA adds the 2018 28-, 29- and 30-inch CF Zen to the list of prohibitions, including the 31st and 32ns from the same bat. They also point out that Ghost X USA will NOT be allowed in USSSA games in 2018.
Note: Bats with an ASA 2013 certification stamp can still be used for the slow throw competition if they are eligible under WBSC (ISF) or USSSA certification. New: USSSA only accepts the new 2021 stamp. Bats with older USSSA stamps will no longer be accepted. USSSA certification is only accepted for slo-pitch competitions. Most didn`t know that Reebok was making a baseball bat. In fact, TLS was legitimate (eBay). But he was decertified and Reebok never fully recovered in the bat room. In correlation with the new lab, we will introduce new bat buffers to indicate testing according to new standards and protocols developed by the USSSA Bat Committee. Bats bearing the 2012 USSSA stamp will become grandfathers indefinitely (until July 1, 2021). On July 1, 2021, bats with a compression of 240 lbs or more can be used in the field. After their first consideration, all sizes of the CBZ Drop 10 DeMarini 2018 CF Zen are LEGAL to play with. New USSSA Bat stamp: The USSSA is moving its bat testing to a new facility, NTS Chesapeake. In 2020, there will be a new USSSA Baseball Bat Stamp that will indicate which bats will be tested by NTS. The DSB KAMO (BB KA 8) has been removed from the USSSA game. This means, in a few words, that the bat is now locked to play. This includes 30/22 31/21 32/22 31/23 32/24. USSSA has now changed that 3 or 4 times. Here`s the last one (9/10/20): All the people who said Dirty South bats were hot were clearly right. A little too much. Softball Canada does not currently have its own club certification program, but supports the following racquet standards for Canadian championships. The list of illegal softball bats is longer than we would like to write.
Or, frankly, you should take care to read about it. As an example, consider ASA bats, which were only decertified until 2014. The USSSA has begun making bat buffers and standard changes that affect both baseball and slow-pitch softball. Please read carefully as they may affect you! With the recent and rather high-profile „temporary“ decertification of the 2 3/4 DeMarini CF Zen Drop 10, we wondered what other bats have been decertified over the years. It is not easy to find such a list. We probably made our decision because there haven`t been many baseball bats that have been banned over the years. Slow-pitch softball has seen the worst offenders – with at least a dozen rackets banned over the years. In baseball, we only found three in the last one, five, and we still have to find a quick bat to get the boot. After much shouting, USSSA has decided that CF Zen 2018 is now LEGAL for gambling again. The new bats will have less pop than the old models with the 2012 stamp. The 2012 fingerprint models allow for 220 lbs less compression compared to the new standard of 240 lbs or more. In addition, 220 lbs of compression rackets will still have to meet this standard to be legal for the game, and 240 lbs of compression rackets will meet their standard to be legal for the game. You have an advantage by swinging older model clubs. **DSB KAMO lost its 1.15 certification in 31 and 32 Drop 10 (i.e. 31/21 & 32/22) and 30, 31 and 32 Drop 8 (30/22, 31/23, 32/24). From what we`ve read on social media, Easton is offering a $500 voucher on their website to return a legitimately purchased USA Ghost X. Not all other bats are approved. Unapproved bats should be removed from competition and prominently marked (e.g., tape). Teams should be advised that attempting to use it during play will usually result in exclusion.
The Marucci Black (eBay) racquet has the special honor of being banned by the NCAA, but not by the NFHS. That is, the college said you were out, while the high school said you were safe. A strange turn of events and we can`t really follow how this could have happened, given that both leagues use the same standard. Nevertheless, it is there. As the only non-BBC bat on the list, the CF ZEN 2 3/4 was a dynamite bat that people loved. There were some durability issues, but people were still buying the bat en masse, as it gave little Timmy a chance to hit it into the stratosphere across the universe. Penalty: (First Offense) If the referee determines that a racquet does not comply with USSSA Rule 7.01.C until the racquet has been used in the game, this is not a reason to exclude and/or throw the bat offside. If the umpire determines that a racquet was used to put a ball in play, and before the next legal field, the defensive team has the choice to call the result of the game or the batsman and all runners returning to base are busy at the time of the field of play. (Second offence) If a team violates this rule a second time, the manager will be ejected from the field in addition to the first penalty. USA Baseball withdrew its certification (made illegal) the USA Easton Ghost X racquet in a 30-inch 10-inch drop on 30/3/2018. What does that mean? You will see a new stamp on USSSA baseball bats. The new stamp and the current stamp will be in the game for the foreseeable future.
In the end, there is nothing to worry about. VIERA, FL (October 30, 2019) – The currently approved 1.20 „thumbprint“ stamp for the USSSA slow-ball softball bat is NOW LEGAL for USSSA games indefinitely (previously until January 1, 2023). The USSSA decided to defer legal use to give players a longer useful life for currently owned and manufactured clubs. The CAT 5^2 (5-Squared) in BBCOR was a bestial bomb launcher known to kill bullets. It put Marucci on the map, but was also removed from certification after people found it too hot to handle. A few years ago, Nike made a serious race (eBay) in the space of baseball bats. However, the loss of certification of the CX2 seems to mark the beginning of the end of the Nike Bat experience. The current USSSA Bats stamp will no longer be produced by manufacturers from 1 January 2021 at the latest. New Stamp bats have a higher starting compression and a higher pass compression of 240. This means you can use current USSSA-stamped bats indefinitely with a lower error compression of 220 for USSSA. On the baseball page, a league`s website contains at least some information about banned racquets. The Texas Sports Officials Association appears to be keeping an eye on at least some of the illegal bats.
